Three bases are available. Whichever is selected applies to the whole matter and cannot be varied mid-engagement except under clause 4.2.
Charged at the rates in Appendix A, recorded in six minute units, billed monthly in arrears. Suits matters whose scope cannot be settled in advance.
A single sum per instrument drafted, negotiated and executed, agreed before work begins. Suits repeat work of settled scope.
A monthly sum covering an agreed volume, with an hourly rate applying above it. Suits a continuing relationship with predictable throughput.
All figures exclude VAT and disbursements. The fixed fee assumes English law, two parties, and no third-party consents. Where those assumptions do not hold, clause 2.4 applies and we will tell you before the work is done, not after.
