We wanted a rose that was not sweet, which turns out to be a very difficult thing to ask a mill for.
Most pink wool is dyed in the piece, and piece dye makes a flat colour. What we were after was a rose built in the yarn from three different fibres, so that at two metres it reads as one colour and at arm's length it does not.
